What will it cost?*

Cost for New Zealand citizen/resident

Free abortion services to any pregnant person eligible eligible for publicly funded healthcare in New Zealand living in the Bay of Plenty region. There may be prescription fees and costs for ultrasound.

Cost for non-New Zealand resident

Abortion service not offered to non-New Zealand residents.

    Accessibility

    The clinic is at ground level with no accessibility issues. The clinic has a wheelchair accessible toilet.

    Mobility parking is available in front of the building. Public parking is also available in front of the building. There is a bus stop in front of Gate Pa Shopping Centre which is across the road from the clinic.

    Contraception available through this clinic.

    • Contraception prescriptions.
    • A free contraceptive service is available after you have had your abortion. 
    • A Depo Provera injection can be given at the same time as the first medication if you are having an early medical abortion, although some clients choose to wait due to bleeding.
    • An implant can be inserted at the same time as the first medication if you are having an early medical abortion.
