Cost for New Zealand citizen/resident

Free abortion services for any pregnant person eligible for publicly funded healthcare in New Zealand who lives in the Te Whatu Ora Tairāwhiti district. There may be prescription fees, and costs for ultrasound.

    Contraception

    Contraception available through this clinic.

    • Contraception prescriptions.
    • IUD or IUS devices can be inserted when you have a surgical abortion.
    • A free contraceptive service is available after you have had your abortion. 
    • A Depo Provera injection can be given at the same time as the first medication if you are having an early medical abortion.
    • An implant can be inserted at the same time as the first medication if you are having an early medical abortion.

    Counselling

    Counselling-trained midwives are available at the clinic.
