What will it cost?

Cost for New Zealand citizen/resident

Free abortion services to any pregnant person eligible for publicly funded healthcare in New Zealand and lives in the Auckland region (Auckland, Waitematā or Counties Manukau). There may be prescription fees, and costs for ultrasound.

    Accessibility

    This service is on the first floor of the building. There is no wheelchair access to the first floor.

    Mobility parking is available directly behind the clinic. Public parking is available across the road from the clinic.

    Public transport. The 337 Dominion Road Bus Stop is directly outside the clinic. For train users, the Kingsland training station is located between New North Road and Sandringham Road.

    If you have accessibility needs, please let the clinic know ahead of your appointment.

    Assistance or funding to get to the service is available through the Te Whatu Ora district. Your provider can help you access this.

    Female practitioner

    A female practitioner is available at the clinic.

    Contraception

    Contraception available through this clinic.

    • Contraception prescriptions.
    • IUD or IUS devices can be inserted when you have a surgical abortion.
    • Long Acting Reversible Contraception is available on the day of and up to 6 weeks after abortion for DHB-funded clients.
    • A Depo Provera injection can be given at the same time as the first medication if you're having an early medical abortion.
    • An implant can be inserted at the same time as the first medication if you're having an early medical abortion.

    Counselling

    Counselling can be provided in person or virtually.

    If you are paying privately for your abortion, you are entitled to one free post abortion counselling session.
